Train from Fort William to Glasgow
Today, I had one of my most beautiful train journeys ever. The railway from Fort William to Glasgow leads through an amazing landscape of Scottish Highlands.
Watching out of the window.
Seeing the clouds moving so close above you, you might think you can touch them.
Rays of sunlight pierce the air, placing spotlights onto the green hills and mountains that are patched with dark green forest. Countless rivers make their way through valleys into the lochs glistening in golden sunlight.
I listen to »Boards of Canada« while looking out of the window. Many passengers on the train look like they have many stories to tell. There is a father with his son. Both of them are wearing wellies. The music in my ears melts with the scenary outside. It’s almost like a dream where you know you’re dreaming. The father is patiently reading a book with his son, who seems to be a very attentive child. He joyfully plays with his toy cars, banging them on the table and happily squeaking around while the father is patiently talking to him, explaining what to do and what’s happening around.
I continue to play around with ideas for Kerstin’s logo, folding paper and making small scribbles. I feel creative and intuitive with the task she gave me. I like feeling free but not empty when I work like this.
The sun has dissapeared behind the hills while the sky is still glowing in orange tones. I’m going to make this journey last forever.
